ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - Thomas W. "T.W." King, a longtime Rocky Mount attorney, has been elected to the First Carolina State Bank Board of Directors.
King's law practice revolves around the real estate area. A member of the North Carolina State Bar since 1979, King has been a self-employed attorney with a general practice in Rocky Mount since 1983. A graduate of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he has a bachelor's degree in mathematics in addition to his law degree.
In the community, King has served two three-year terms on the board of directors of the Rocky Mount Area Habitat for Humanity and a six-year term with the Rocky Mount Area Homebuilders Association where he was secretary. He has been involved in his church, Englewood United Methodist Church, and the Rocky Mount Jaycees where he is a past president. He is also a past state president of the North Carolina Jaycees.
King has been honored with the Hawkins Award from the N.C. Jaycees as a top 10 local president and the Little Award from the U.S. Jaycees as a top 10 state membership development vice president.
