First Carolina State Bank Celebrates Sixth Anniversary


ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - (Dec. 5, 2006) - First Carolina State Bank celebrated its sixth anniversary on Nov. 30 by inviting the community to visit the bank's offices in Rocky Mount and Tarboro to take advantage of special one-day anniversary interest rates on certificates of deposit. The bank also introduced a new premium money market account.

The day began with a cake cutting and reception for customers, Chamber of Commerce representatives, bank board members, employees and representatives from the media.

More than 175 people visited the bank's offices in Rocky Mount and Tarboro where each person was presented with a gift and those opening new accounts that day were given a special gift. More than 50 new accounts were opened on this day and those customers were entered into a drawing every two hours for live Christmas trees purchased from the Optimist clubs in Rocky Mount and Tarboro.

"It was a great day for our bank" said President/CEO Tim Taylor. "This gives us an opportunity to personally thank our neighbors and friends for supporting their hometown bank."

According to Taylor, the bank's six-year highlights include continued growth in loans and deposits, addition of several new staff members, the implementation of a new bank computer system and completion of a major renovation project at the Rocky Mount office.
